john lucas from home depot is here to give us tips. there's two places people go before a storm, the home improvement store and the grocery store. what do we need? you have a lot of products. >> the biggest thing you want to keep in mind is that if the power goes out, chances are it's going to go out for many folks be out for several days so you want to make yourself as comfortable as possible. some key things to have, initially, sand bags if you're in a low-lying area. definitely check any of the drains in your neighborhood. keep from flooding. you want to make sure you have plenty of water on hand. >> you have that on the store? >> absolutely. >> when you come in to get batteries, right? >> batteries, flash light, emergency lighting and definitely water. >> weather gear here. >> weather gear, tarps that we have in case good to forbid something hit your house, you have a window blow out, hole in your roof. again, they're not going to be able to get to you right away so a tarp can keep your home dry. >> let's talk about generators. thi
